A government soldiers has on Tuesday afternoon opened fire at a school bus killing 1 and wounding 13 other students, witnesses and relatives said.
One of the students who was killed was identified as 9 year old female student Deeqo Dahir who died for the wounds she sustained from the bullet that hit her, according to eyewitnesses who posted on the social media.
13 other students were also hospitalized. All the students were children.
The school was owned by Hamar Boarding school in Mogadishu.
The students were returning from school, when the shooting incident took place.
Its not yet clear if the shooter has been arrested.
Recently, Somali parliament has been discussing on the security of Mogadishu. Some of the lawmakers critized the small salaries provided to the security service members, which only lead to insecurity.
