The Federal Republic of Ethiopia and The Republic of Eritrea have commended what they termed as economic and security sector reform by The Federal Government of Somalia.
The Foreign Ministers of the two neighboring states who are on an official visit in Somalia reiterated their respective states full support for the ongoing reforms while calling upon the international community for similar action.
Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu of Ethiopia and his Eritrean counterpart Osman Salah conveyed messages on behalf of their leaders during meeting with Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre in his Mogadishu office.
The diplomats reaffirmed mutual respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of the three nations in joint communique issued to the members of the press after the meeting.
The leaders also restated their commitment to the security, prosperity and the stability of the region.
The visiting Foreign Ministers expressed their sincere gratitude for the cordial hospitality accorded to them and their delegation during the visit.
They were seen off at the Adden Abdulle International Airport by the Somali Foreign Minister ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad.
